Toon Musings: Activity Corner, Day 12

It’s time to hand out medals! Martin Luther King, Jr., got the Presidential Medal of Freedom. So did Rosa Parks. So did Andrew Wyeth and Helen Keller and Walt Disney. And Joe DiMaggio and Norman Rockwell and Georgia O’Keefe. So did Rachel Carson and Tennessee Williams and Buckminster Fuller. And Jaques Cousteau and Elie Wiesel and Ella Fitzgerald. It was a great honor! Dear Leader loves to show appreciation to those who appreciate him, so he gave it to Rush Limbaugh. Wow, who’s next?

Yes, it was a great honor. Now, it’s getting hard to distinguish between Medal Day and Pardon Day.

Self-taught and beholden only to his formidable wife and amazing son, he spends his free time gadding about in his vintage autogyro and, with his faithful manservant Nicopol, exploring forgotten ruins, discovering hitherto unknown animal species, smashing spy rings, and regaling fellow members of the League of Intrepid Adventurers with tales of his intrepid adventures.
