Fred Shively
Artist Statement
I’m a freelance creative director, photographer and digital artist who splits his time between corporate comms assignments, magazine gigs (mostly written by my partner Arpi) and art photography. I’m based in Spain, hence the bias in my work towards the Iberian peninsula.
About this Series:
In 2006 I had an exhibition in Granada on the 60th anniversary of the execution of one of Spain’s greatest poets and playrights.
The exhibition then moved to the town of Orgiva in the Alpujarras.
The next venue is, hopefully, Fuente Vacqueros, the birthplace of Federico Garcia Lorca.
These are a few of the images that are appearing in the shows. (They were all accompanied by extracts from Garcia Lorca works).
