Artist Statement

I describe my pictures as key frames or storyboards for some sort of bizarre movie. Or perhaps as stage sets for an opera I shall write some day.

I am interested in playing with allegories, metaphors and parables. I work mainly on paper using the skills and techniques acquired over many years as one of England’s most successful illustrators. I lounge in London.
