Regardless of imagery chosen, I explore erosion and regeneration in my paintings. In the stories of lives around me; I am fascinated by the biographical threading of relationships and lessons through the course of a lifetime and how each person leaves his or her legacy for others. I personify inanimate elements as containing the history or energy of a person. Dresses might imply the wearer’s energy or vitality rather than her physical presence. Landscape holds the history and secrets of all the people through the ages who have passed through that scene. In my work, I discuss the beauty of a moment in a life with a keen awareness of its fleeting relevance through the history of time. (Stellers Gallery)
