Escape Into Life, online arts journal, pushes the boundaries of visual art and
literature, blending the two together until they become one poem – a work of Visual Poetry.
Michael Accorsi is a Fine Artist in Northern California specializing in painting and sketches in oil, watercolor, and mixed media.
“Art is life seen through man’s inner craving for perfection and beauty.” - Paul Outerbridge My paintings are an extension of my drawings in graphite. I like my paintings to contain the transparency of the drawing and leave enough space for the viewer to interpret. I ensure all of my work is completed using the highest quality artist materials available. Any work in graphite, Conté, or charcoal is protected for longevity in a matte varnish mastic or clear coat. Although most of my gallery pieces are in oil, I enjoy working in mixed media and pushing the boundaries of the painting surface. Combinations of gouache, Conté, graphite, ink, even eye shadow to create depth singular medium uses cannot replicate. My work is available in many local Northern California galleries: WORKS, San Jose, Pacific Art League, Palo Alto, Los Gatos Art Association, Santa Cruz Art Association as well as some larger works in Chelsea in New York City. In addition to showcasing my own work, my art art blog, Plotlines is an interactive site for art enthusiasts. Please take a look at www.accorsistudios.com. Samples of my current and older works are available on my website: www.michaelaccorsi.com.
