What’s Cooking?

It’s Julia Child’s 100th birthday, so I am wondering what’s cooking for any of our EIL poets and our poetry readers! Usually, there’s something on the front burner, something on the back burner, and every now and then there’s something in the oven.

Sarah J. Sloat has a new chapbook just out, Homebodies, from Hyacinth Girl Press. Poems about household objects: toothbrush, toaster, whisk, teabag, sponge.

Susan Slaviero has a new chapbook, Selections from the Murder Book, from Tree Light Books, winner of the Ghost Ocean chapbook contest. It sounds scary. Maybe I can tell you more about it for Halloween! It has endpapers from an old medical textbook.

And Jeannine Hall Gailey has been named poet laureate of her community and has been attending Geek Girl Con 2012 in Seattle. So if you like zombie fiction, unicorns, robots, comic books, science, superheroes and superheroines, or anything on the fringe, you’ll want to read all about it at her blog.

What have you got cooking?
