In art the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can inspire
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am getting very excited about the Escape into Life store. Adam Listek, our developer from the very beginning, will be now completing the e-commerce section of Escape into Life.
Here are a couple things about the Escape into Life store . . .
We’ll sell original artwork and reproductions (prints). Later we may branch out into clothing and jewelry.
Artwork will be in the artists’ possession at all time. The artwork will be shipped to the buyer from the artist.
We’ll be holding a small inventory of works for sale. This will be a virtual inventory as the artwork will be in the artists’ possession.
The amount of commissions will fall between 20-25 percent per item, but also depends on several factors such as the price of the artwork and how many pieces are for sale. Commissions will cover the costs of the e-commerce development and the marketing promotion that Escape into Life will do on behalf of the artists who sell their work through the site.
In order to sell work on Escape into Life, a contract must be signed by the artist that ensures the artist will in fact ship their work to the buyer after it has been sold.
What is the benefit of selling your work through Escape into Life?
Escape into Life receives 300,000-400,000 visitors per month. When an artist’s work goes up for sale, we will promote and publicize it through the site and the various social media outlets connected to the site. We want this to be exciting for everyone involved and the goal is to create an event, like an auction.
The estimated time for the store to be up and running is late August or early September. If you’re interested in selling your work through Escape into Life, please send an email to escapeintolife (AT) yahoo (DOT) com with the heading “EIL Store”.
