Artist Bio

Brian Willmont is building the new American folktale with Technicolor paintings that are tarnished with American history, pre-renaissance and Persian miniature painting, worship, dreamscapes, blacklight posters, and the fantastic. His work has been featured in Solo Exhibitions at Space 1026 (Philadelphia), LaMontagne Gallery (Boston), and the Mills Gallery. Willmont’s work has been featured in JuxtapozRuby magazine, The Boston GlobeFecal Face, and The Boston Phoenix. In 2005 Willmont started Apenest, an experimental company/collective focused on book and print publishing, printmaking, and community. Brian Willmont received his BFA with Honors from the Massachusetts College of Art in 2007. (Flavorpill)
