I have always been interested in art and crafts and used to make my own clothes and draw as a child.
A material exploration of figuration and a questioning of the historical tropes of representation.
I find the reflections of folk stories, music and painting in what I see around me. I want to express that connection through my work without being beholden to it.
I turned to photography using my grandpa’s old Russian camera.
