Margie Deeb

Artist Bio

Margie Deeb was the first artist/author to publish a book on color specifically addressing the challenges presented by working with glass beads. She is also the first – and only – artist to produce a podcast about color. Her 5th book, The Beader’s Color Palette, published by Watson-Guptill, hit the shelves in June 2008. She is featured on the 2008 season of the PBS show “Beads, Baubles, and Jewels,” and in numerous magazines and books. Her passion for color and movement is the driving force in all her creations. In addition to her visual arts in oils, watercolor and charcoal, she is also a musican. Margie teaches her color seminars, “A Passion for Color,” “Around the Wheel in 5 Hours,” and “The Emotions of Color” to artists of all mediums across the country. Her work is shown and sold in galleries and boutiques, and she is available for teaching and speaking engagements. She lives near Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, composer Darren Nelsen, their Dalmatian, greyhound, a 20-year old koi, and many shubunkins.
