About The Artists
David is a collage/ mixed media artist located in San Francisco. His interests range from observed relationship dynamics and social commentary to more introverted personal works, all in surreal, other-worldly landscapes driven by character and narrative. David creates both fine art and illustration works with the help of his talkative cat, Cho Cho and lots and lots of coffee.
David Ball just recently finished proofing and printing a 16 x 24 inch giclée of Conditioned. This print includes a 2.5″ handling border (paper is 21″ x 29.5″). Each giclée is printed on archival, imported 300 lb. Italian cold-pressed watercolor paper using archival inks and is signed and numbered by the artist. Edition of 100.
Conditioned, a first in a series of “Postcards from the Unconscious”, was a very involved piece for Ball as the original measuring 24 x 36 inches. This work sold before it was even shown. Because of this, David created a print large enough to share with others showcasing the details of the wash layers and pencil work without going so large as to disrespect the integrity of the original.
