“I wanted to twist the obvious. The basis for the paintings is the mask serves both people that want to strike fear into others and on the opposite end the mask can be used by someone who wants to hide from the evils of the world (as in social interactions, their own short comings, etc…). The mask for these people is a way to re-invent themselves. So on one hand it’s a tool of fear and on the other it’s a tool of safety.”

“I am exploring the idea of concealment”
